About Allen White Cultural & Community Center

The Allen White School provides a culturally-relevant historical legacy. Because of it, Whiteville, Tennessee became a model of success in education for African American students – dating back to 1933 when its first class of students graduated. In fact, it was the only school for African Americans to attend for miles and miles thanks to funds from The Rosenwald Foundation, which helped to open it. Today, we exist to continue the tradition of making a positive impact on its community.

Help us breathe new life back into the Allen-White School with our newly rebuilt vision of it; The Allen White Cultural & Community Center. If you can contribute please visit our Contribute page, here. Your contribution will go a long way to bringing this historical school back to life. Thank you!
